Throughout this page I use the word Light to represent God, the Universe, divine energy, spirit guides, angels, and all forms of loving higher vibrations. My intention is not to tell you what to believe, but to help you reconnect with the peace, safety, and inner guidance that already exists within you.

Protection

One of the most important spiritual practices is learning how to feel safe, protected, and connected to Light.

How to feel spiritually protected daily

Protection begins through prayer, meditation, intention, and feeling. When you pray or meditate, you are connecting yourself to a higher vibration. You are opening your energy to peace, love, comfort, and divine support.

One of the biggest challenges people face is truly feeling protected. Sometimes the mind wants proof, but spiritual protection often begins with emotion and trust.

A helpful way to connect with this energy is by remembering a moment in your life when you felt completely safe and cared for. For example, I remember being around five years old during a thunderstorm, and my parents staying beside me until the fear passed. That feeling of warmth, safety, and peace became something I could reconnect with spiritually later in life. Others may feel this through memories of loved ones, pets, nature, prayer, or moments where they felt deeply supported.

Building trust and a daily rhythm

Once you connect to that feeling, the next step is trust. Trust allows your energy to stay connected to Light instead of fear. When you begin building this connection daily, you can imagine that loving energy surrounding you like a warm protective bubble.

Personally, I also like using candles during meditation or prayer. The warmth and glow help me connect to feelings of comfort, peace, and divine protection.

The more consistently you practice these feelings and routines, the more you may begin to notice subtle shifts in your daily life. Heavy or negative energy can slowly begin to lift, while clarity, calmness, and inner peace grow stronger.

Cleansing

Cleansing is a deeply personal spiritual practice, and different methods may resonate with different people. During sessions, I often intuitively see different approaches depending on the individual and their energy.

Before cleansing, I strongly recommend first learning how to feel spiritually protected. When you feel grounded and connected to Light, cleansing becomes much safer and more effective. Trying to cleanse while feeling fearful or emotionally overwhelmed can sometimes make a person feel more anxious instead of peaceful.

Sage, myrrh, and frankincense at home

My personal cleansing practice usually begins by lighting a candle and connecting with peaceful, loving energy. From there, I may use sage sprays, incense, myrrh, or frankincense depending on the situation. For me, sage represents resetting and clearing stagnant energy. Myrrh and frankincense often feel deeper and more spiritually grounding.

How to make a spiritual cleansing bath with Epsom salt

For emotional and energetic cleansing, I also recommend baths with Epsom salts. You can add lavender or rose essence, which are often connected with calmness, purification, and emotional healing. These practices may help release stress, sadness, anger, anxiety, or emotional heaviness over time.

Foot baths and sacred spaces

If baths are not comfortable for you, foot baths can also be very effective. Warm water itself carries a calming and restorative energy. There is no perfect time limit, trust your intuition and listen to your body and energy.

Sometimes, spiritual heaviness may feel stronger or more overwhelming. In those situations, I often recommend visiting a place of worship or peace, such as a church, temple, or sacred space. Places filled with prayer, love, and collective Light can help bring comfort, grounding, and spiritual support.
